こんにちは!

Hi, my name is Sabrina, and I am on mission to bring the sound of God’s love to Japan through harp music!

In partnership with J-Venture, I will be serving the Japanese church in Iwate prefecture, located in the northern Tohoku region of Japan. My desire is to support the local Body of Christ in Iwate through practical church ministry, while also building a bridge between the community and the church through harp music. I am prayerfully seeking to build a harp studio and do various freelance work as a musician in the city of Morioka, the capital of Iwate. Through these opportunities, I want to openly share my faith as a performer, composer, and as a music teacher while connecting people to other Japanese believers.

I am currently preparing to be sent out by my local church, Thomas Road Baptist Church, here in Lynchburg, Virginia. God has opened up several training opportunities through my church while I begin the support-raising process. These include leading several Bible studies, one of which is a monthly gathering of Japanese ladies in Lynchburg where we study the Bible in Japanese together. I am also actively studying the language on a daily basis in preparation for taking the JLPT Level N2 in December 2026 (Japanese Language Proficiency Exam). Regular harp performance and teaching also makes up a good portion of my schedule as a freelance musician. As I wait on God’s timing for moving to Japan, there is much He has given me to do right here in my hometown in preparation for future ministry.

This fall, I am beginning to raise the one-time outgoing costs of moving to Japan. Below is a giving link for this fund sponsored through my church. Your prayers mean everything as I step forward in faith to see God provide. If you feel led to partner with me in reaching Japan, please reach out in the contact form, and I would love to share more of my ministry with you!

Japan is the second largest unreached people group, with a population of 123 million, and only an estimated 0.5% who identify as Christian. Let’s continue to pray for the light of Christ to rise over Japan!
